at the edge of the Rocky Mountains in
Alberta, Canada.
Our elk hunts are mostly done
by walking and calling or still hunting and calling. When
the elk starts coming to our calls there is no rush like it.
Because our area is so secluded the elk grow huge, giving
you the opportunity to see some real trophy elk. Our hunting
area allows 3 points or larger, but if you have patience you
will have a good chance for a 300 plus bull elk.
We strive to find and use the spots that have very few or
no other hunters. Our expert local elk guides get out early
for scouting and we are very prepared when you arrive. With
constant monitoring and scouting, we are completely devoted
to giving our utmost effort to make your elk hunting trip
an unforgettable and successful one. Fishing can be a great
afternoon pastime after a morning hunt in the streams and
rivers in our secluded hunting areas.
We stay in tent camps where we
assure you can stay warm and dry and have great meals. We also
have the option of using our house in small town Grande Cache,
which is near all the hunting.
Rifle and archery hunters can
combine elk hunts with other hunts such as whitetail deer, mule
deer, elk, moose and wolf. At Extreme Wilderness we take great
pride in offering a complete wilderness experience.
